Emersyn came in for her 6 month pictures in March. Her mommy bought one of my March Mini Session Specials that I was running during the winter of this year. I just fell in love with her gorgeous baby blue eyes! Her adorable lace romper, which her mom bought off of Etsy.com, complimented her eyes and my backdrops perfectly! Then toward the end of her session her mom pulled out this beautiful quilt that was her baby blanket when she was a baby. Emersyn’s grandma had it embroidered with her name on it and her mommy’s name. We incorporated it in her session and I had the most perfect headband and ruffled diaper cover at the studio that we used with the quilt.. it turned out beautiful together. We of course had to include her big brother in a few pictures… he pretty much loves his baby sister!
My name is Jessica Green and I specialize in lifestyles photography - families, newborns, maternity. Since I was a child, photography has always been a passion and love. My first camera was a green 35mm that was given to me for my birthday when I was 11-years-old. That week I used all 10 rolls of film and ever since then my love has grown. My mother was a gifted journalist and photographer for the associated press and also did free-lance work, so naturally I knew I was destined to find my way to the industry eventually. I went to school at Indiana University and obtained a B.A. in journalism/public relations, where I studied many courses in photography and design.
Though photography is not a full-time career, it is still a full time passion. I value the creation of a long term relationship where I can capture your memories from the day of your engagement, all the way through your child’s senior pictures, and beyond. Consultations are of the ut-most importance because I value getting to know you, your family and the occasion to best fit your needs, wants and desires. I can help you decide what to wear, what a good location would be for your session, and much more.
As many people who have children know, family photographs can be very stressful for the child. I always come prepared with props, toys and sometimes candy. I love getting the same level as children; it eases their fear of getting their photo taken and brings out their smile. Families are by far the most fun to photograph!
